Dear Kacures Family,
Katy was a jewel and she is with our Lord right now shining down on each of you. Remember her as a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was all of those! Most of all know that we will be reunited with her someday. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at St. Mary’s Cathedral Upper Church in St. Cloud for Kathleen G. Kacures, age 71, of St. Joseph who died Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Private inurnment will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Friends may call between 4-9 pm on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in ST. JOSEPH, MN. St. Mary’s Cathedral parish prayers will be at 7 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Joseph.
Kathleen was born on May 30, 1935 in Paynesville, MN to Leo and Agnes (Moritz) Klassen. Katy married Edward Kacures, Sr. on Sept. 25, 1954 in St. Cloud. She was a homemaker and lived in the St. Joseph area her entire life. Katy was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral parish.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years Edward, Sr. children Edward Jr. (Carol) of Rice, Carl (Karen) of St. Francis, Diane of Slayton, TX, Scott of Watkins, Jeffrey (Julie) of Mondovi, WI, and Danny of Avon; 12 grandchildren: Kristy (Dave), Jason (Kristy), Angela, Stacy (Adam), Brian, Amanda, Ryan, Christopher, Joshua, Morgan, Kelly, and Jameson; 3 great grandchildren: Logan, Evan and Bradley; brothers and sisters: Donald Klassen of Melrose, Edwin Klassen of New Hope, Bob Klassen of St. Joseph, Dorothy Fuechtmann of Blaine, Bernette Finken of Melrose and Shirley Reiland of Grey Eagle.
Katy was preceded in death by her parents and brother in law Gene Petermeier.
