Karen J. Smith, 59, of Rice, died February 17, 2014. Private services will be held.
Karen was born in Arlington, MA, on October 4, 1954 to Robert and Jeanette (Will) MacDonald.
She lived most of her life in the Twin Cities, and most recently in Rice. Karen was a loving caregiver to all family members.
Karen is survived by: daughter Amanda (Joseph) Schneider; brother Mark MacDonald (Shirley Fortune); sister Sharon (John) LaValle; grandchildren Geneva and Isabella Schneider; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ross Smith.
Karen will be greatly missed at North Long Lake in Brainerd.
