Jane M. Blommer

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park for Jane M. Blommer, age 68, of Waite Park, who passed away with family by her side on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Country Manor Nursing Home in Sartell. Reverend Mark Innocenti will officiate. Burial of the urn will take place in the parish cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday (TODAY) at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the church in Waite Park. Parish prayers will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Jane was born on April 1, 1944 in St. Cloud to Clarence and Luella (Leither) Gohman. She married Norbert “Butch” Blommer Jr. on May 8, 1962 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She lived in Waite Park most of her married life. She was employed by Dr. Wenner and Dr. Muloff and later worked in food service for School District 742. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Christian Women, the Pantowners and Women’s Red Hats.

Jane enjoyed cross country skiing, camping, gardening, and quilting. She treasured the time spent with her family, especially the grandchildren.

Jane is survived by her husband, Norbert “Butch” Blommer; children, Steven (Mindy) of Eden Valley, Michele (Tony) Kirchner of St. Joseph, Jill (Tom) Walker of Buffalo; grandchildren, Josh, Bryce, Justin, Brett, Jake, Heather, Carter, and Marlee; brothers and sisters, Nancy (Dick) Paulson of Circle Pines, Mary (Denny) Thomas of St. Cloud, David (Maxine) Gohman of Maple Lake, and Charles (Judy) Gohman of Phoenix, AR; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
