Gary A. Newman
February 27, 1966 – November 7, 2006

Memorial services will be on Friday, November 10, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Clearwater United Methodist Church for Gary A. Newman, age 40 of Clear Lake who passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at his home after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Reverend Scott Gjevre will officiate. Inurnment will be at Zion United Methodist Cemetery in South Haven.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Arrangements were by the Daniel Funeral Home, Clearwater.
Gary was born on February 27, 1966 in Bad Kreuznach, Germany to Allen and Helene (Roth) Newman. He married Leslie Helget on July 25, 1987 at the Clearwater United Methodist Church; they later divorced in 1997. Gary was employed as a carpenter in the Clearwater area. He was a former member of the Clearwater Fire Department.
Gary will be remembered as a jack-of-all-trades who enjoyed working on Harleys, detailing cars and remodeling houses. He was looking forward to being a grandpa this month.
Survivors include, Leslie of Clear Lake; children, Jessica (Ray) Johnson of Buffalo, Justin and Jenna both at home and Joshua of Clearwater; father, Allen of Clearwater; brothers and sisters, Sandy Shoutz of Princeton, Gloria (Troy) Husom of Luxemburg, Sheila (Mark) Jacobs of Clearwater, Duane (Shirley) of Gilman and Terry of Albany.
He was preceded in death by his mother on September 6, 2006 from pancreatic cancer.
