Delores M. "Dee" Rengel

March 27, 1942 – February 3, 2025

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Delores M. “Dee” Rengel, 82, of St. Cloud will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Dee passed away peacefully, with family by her side on, Monday, February 3, 2025 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Derek Wiechmann will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church.

Dee was born on March 27, 1942 in St. Cloud to Gabriel and Cecilia (Lehner) Karn. She grew up in Waite Park and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1960. Dee lived in California for eight years and returned to St. Cloud in 1968. Dee married John A. Rengel on June 26, 1971 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park. Dee was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandma raising three children and being ever present. After raising her family, Dee turned her focus to her career. Over 45 years, she continued to expand her influence becoming the face of Rengel Printing and holding the role of CEO/owner for many years. Dee was a pillar of her community, actively donating her time with Catholic Charities, Cancer Society of America, Board Member for Habitat for Humanity, St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce and Cloud City Business business networking,

Dee enjoyed baking, cheering on the Vikings and Twins, bowling, playing cards and attending her grandchildren’s athletic events. She was their #1 cheerleader. She will be remembered as being a “loud and proud” grandma.

She is survived by her husband, John; children, Reid (Martha) of Owasso, OK, Joy (Matt) Doke of St. Cloud, Peter (LeRae) of Clear Lake; five grandchildren, Adeline Rengel, Howie and Ruby Doke, Bentley and Jackson Rengel; siblings, Roger (Barbara) Karn of Arden Hills, Nancy Lauramoore of St. Cloud, Charles (Rosie) Karn of Monticello; extended family, Debbie (Ken) Johnson of California, Duane Gundrum; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Karn; and brother-in-law, Curt Lauramoore.

A heartfelt thank you to Coborn Cancer Center and to the staff of the St. Cloud Hospital for their exceptional care.

Memorials can be made in Dee’s memory to any one of the organizations she volunteered with.

I was privileged to know Dee and count her as a friend. I am now shocked and saddened to learn of her passing! She had such a good spirit and infectious energy that will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Sincere sympathy to her entire family and may God be with all of you during this difficult time.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Dee was always kind and welcoming to me on my many stops at Rengel Printing over the years. We had many good conversations, she will be missed.

Pete, Joy and all those who were close to Dee….I send condolences on your loss. But she was a such an outgoing and loving person that MANY MORE OF US are also saddened by her passing. Truly she was a treasure to so many people in so many different situations. I wish you all peace and enduring memories of this special lady.

I will always remember Dee as a lot of fun.
