Anton M. "Tony" Lahr

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Anton M. “Tony” Lahr, age 73, of St. Cloud, who died peacefully on Saturday at St. Benedict’s Center in St. Cloud with Luverne at his side. Reverend Luke Steiner, OSB will officiate. Interment will take place at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Monday and after 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish Prayers will be at 7 p.m. on Monday.

Tony was born on April 12, 1934 in Eden Valley, MN to Math and Mary (Kinzer) Lahr. He married Luverne Doty on April 17, 1971 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church. He worked at Frigidaire in St. Cloud for 31 years. He was a member of St. Augustine’s Catholic Church and Machinists Union Local 623.

Tony enjoyed gardening, family gatherings, old time music and dancing with Luverne.

Tony is survived by his wife Luverne of St. Cloud, brothers and sisters Irene Arnold of New Hope, Math (Carol) of Grove City, Clarence (Joyce) of Cold Spring, Lucille Lahr and Art (Carol) of Eden Valley as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents, brothers and sisters John, Marcellus, Marie Daher, Roman, Albert, Eugene, Luella Lahr and an infant brother.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
