Dear Heurung Family, I’m so sorry for your loss. I don’t remember Red much but do remember all the fun your parents allowed all the neighborhood kids to have in your yard, the ‘carnivals’ etc. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

June 16, 1928 – July 8, 2012
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 12, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pearl Lake, for Ambrose R. “Red” Heurung, 84, of St. Cloud, who died July 8, 2012. Inurnment will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11:00 AM on Thursday at the church. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Red was born on June 16, 1928 in Avon to Ambrose and Veronica (Luckeroth) Heurung. He married Ramona “Roma” Ethen on August 31, 1950 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Red was an employee of NSP for over 40 years. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 622 and the Knights of Columbus.
Red is survived by: his children, Michelle (John) Draxton of St. Paul, Craig (Nancy Helling) of St. Cloud, Blake (Michele Braun) of St. Joseph, Stephanie (Jon) Mayer of Wayzata; grandchildren, Kelly(Jared) Anderson, Michael (Amanda) Draxton, Matthew and Ethan Mayer; great-grandchildren Liam and Graham Anderson; brothers and sisters, Erma Kuehn, Evelyn (Bob) Olson, Harvey (Sally), Francis (Elaine), Don (Marge), Ginny Fritz, Joan (Steve) Kurilla, and Robert (Jane).
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Roma, brothers-in-law Bob Kuehn and Ken Fritz.
Memorials are preferred to Quiet Oaks Hospice.
