July 15, 1929 – January 31, 2017
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud, for Virginia Bailey, age 87 of St. Cloud. She died on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Talahi Care Center in St. Cloud. The Reverend Timothy Gapinski will be the celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
Virginia was born on July 15, 1929 in St. Cloud, MN, the daughter of John and Pauline (Kloskowski) Babst. She attended school in St. Cloud, graduating from Technical High School. Virginia was married to Lauren Bailey on May 3, 1952. They made their home in Minneapolis and Virginia worked for Honeywell where Lauren also worked. Mr. Bailey died on August 30, 1976. Virginia later moved back to St. Cloud and this has been her home since that time.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Edmund Young, Clement Young, and Richard Babst.
She is survived by one step daughter Kathleen (James) Altermatt of Danbury, WI, three step grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Especially when we took the train to visit you in Minneapolis and shop! You will be missed Aunt Virg, “Candy Lady.” Our four boys always received a big bag of goodies every time they left to go flying back to Anchorage, Alaska. Rest In Peace Auntie Virg..
