Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church
(2555 Clearwater Road, St. Cloud, 56301) for Thomas W. Bennett, age 85, of St. Cloud who passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the St. Cloud Veterans Affairs Medical Center in St. Cloud. Reverend Paul Dare will officiate. Burial will take place with Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls with full military honors.

Family and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in St. Cloud. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Tom was born in St. Cloud to Thomas K. and Marie Bennett. He attended school in St. Cloud, graduating from St. Cloud Technical High School in 1948. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy, stationed aboard the U.S.S. Princeton, during the Korean Conflict. Tom retired from the United States Postal Service. He and his wife Donna resided in Brooklyn Center before moving to Cold Spring in 1997 and later to St. Cloud in 2015. He is a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, St. Cloud VFW Post #428, and the DAV – Minneapolis Chapter 1.

Tom is survived by his wife, of 59 years, Donna; sons, Brad (Kris) of Kimball and Randy (Cecilia) of Danbury, WI; daughters, Leeann of Harrisville, NY and Krista (Jim) Morgan of Breckenridge, CO; 5 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Kenneth Bennett.
