Sally Ann Klaverkamp
October 25, 1919 – June 26, 2015
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church at Marty, MN for Sally Ann Klaverkamp, age 95 who had been a resident of Good Shepherd Community, where she died on June 26, 2015. Reverend Ronald Weyrens will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Parish Cemetery at Marty. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the services at the church Monday morning. Parish prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. at Daniel Funeral Home.
Sally was born on October 25, 1919, the daughter of John and Anna (Binczik) Tomczik at St. Cloud, MN. She attended school in St. Cloud and graduated from Tech High School. Sally worked at the VA Hospital in St. Cloud after school for a few years. She was united in marriage to Louis Klaverkamp on June 10, 1944 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Five children were born to this union. They made their home on their farm near Pearl Lake until 2008 where they raised their family. She and her husband have made their home at the Good Shepherd Community in Sauk Rapids since that time.
Sally and her husband Louis were inseparable having celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on June 10th.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church at Marty, MN, Christian Women, Catholic Aid and Crosier Apostolate.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by five brothers, Joseph, Valentine, Louis, Alois, and John, and two sisters, Helen Ostrowski, and Frances Tomczik, and one great grandson Noah.
She is survived by her children, Alvin (Karen) of St. Cloud, Richard (Jan) of Sartell, Tom (Mary Jo) of Kimball, Vernon (Carolyn) of Sartell, and Mary (Scot) Hille of Sauk Rapids, 11 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Sally’s family would like to thank the entire staff of Good Shepherd Community and St. Croix Hospice for all their loving care.
