Ron was born on June 20, 1949 to Gerald and Luverne (Lauermann) Rassier in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ron graduated from St. Cloud Cathedral High School and later from St. Cloud State University with a bachelor’s degrees in Business and Sociology. He was united in marriage to Judi Faber on May 26, 1973 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose. Ron worked at DeZURIK for 44 years, eventually retiring as a buyer in 2016. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie #622 and St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

Ron was a loving husband, father and “Papa” who loved spending time with his family. He was a quiet and reserved man, who enjoyed good beer, chocolate and a witty joke. Ron was also an avid fisherman and golfer. He enjoyed traveling with his family, especially on their annual trips to the cabins in Alexandria and island vacations. Typically, he brought his fishing poles with him on these trips, and then donated them to local children who helped guide him on his fishing adventures. Papa loved to teach his nine grandchildren how to fish and was especially proud when they pulled in a big one. Ron enjoyed giving of his time and talents, especially in helping to coordinate the annual DeZURIK Golf Tournament.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Judi, of 44 years; children, Brent (Michelle) and their children, Lauren and Ella, Christi (Eric) Laumeyer and their children, Tate, Emmett, and Violet, Brian (Katie) and their children, Julia, Miles, Owen and Henry; sisters, Deborah (Mike) Lechner and Cindy Clemens; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, John Clemens.

A special thank you to the Centra Care Coborn Cancer Center and St. Cloud Hospital Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Ron.
