A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Robert Kosel, age 81 of St. Cloud who passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.
Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Robert was born on March 20, 1935 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to John and Ida (Seifert) Kosel. He married Roberta M. Ley on June 10, 1957 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Bob was a banker at Norwest Bank, Wells Fargo and retired from the State Bank of Kimball in St. Augusta. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #12098 and Holy Spirit Parish.
In his younger days, Bob was a very good athlete he played football, basketball, baseball and track. He enjoyed playing golf throughout his life.
Bob is survived by his wife, Roberta; three sons, Michael (Linda Evans) of St. Cloud, Bradley (Tami) of Thief River Falls, Jeffrey of Waite Park; six grandchildren, Philip, Eric, Brett, Taylor, Troy and Toni; one sister, Mary Baker of Kimball.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; sisters, Laverne Oster, Arlene Schaefer and Doris Olzenak.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
