Robert J. "Bob" Lokensgard

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Robert J. “Bob” Lokensgard, 87, of St. Cloud will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Bob passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday both at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the church. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Bob was born on December 20, 1927 in St. Cloud to the late Olaf and Louise (Kost) Lokensgard. He married Kathleen “Kay” Hall on August 5, 1950 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Bob was a Navy Veteran of WWII. Bob was in the hardware and auto parts business for 50 years working as a sales representative for Lawson Products of Chicago for 45 of those years. Bob was a member of Holy Spirit Parish and the Sauk Rapids American Legion Post #254.

Bob loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling, reading, coffee with friends and spending time at the lake cabin. Bob will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kay of St. Cloud; children, David (Connie) of Las Vegas, NV, Sandy (Lee) Mayavski of St. Cloud, Terri (Jeff) Nylund of Ramsey, James (Linda) of St. Paul; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Donald.
