September 23, 1944 – October 31, 2014

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph, for Richard J. Reischl, age 70, of St. Joseph, who passed away at Hilltop Care Center in Watkins on Friday, October 31, 2014. Reverend Gerald Dalseth will officiate. Burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.

 

Family and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Richard was born on September 23, 1944 in St. Joseph to Joseph and Pauline (Lauermann) Reischl. He served honorably in the United States Army. Richard lived in St. Joseph all of his life. He worked at Landy Packing and Fingerhut. Richard was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph American Legion Post #328 and the St. Joseph Lions Club.

He enjoyed visiting the public at Ace Hardware, Kay’s Kitchen and the El Paso. Richard was also an avid Elvis Presley Fan.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Carol Reischl of Holdingford, Arthur of Sartell, James of St. Cloud, Edmund (Mary Lou) of Eden Valley and JoAnn (Robert) Schleper of Sartell; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers and sisters, Renee Midas, Marcy Pfannenstein, Jeanette Johannes, Esther Reischl, Marion Wasner and Sylvester “Sonny.”
