Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at St. Mary’s Cathedral Lower Church in St. Cloud for Michelle M. (Utecht) Neal, age 45 of St. Cloud who passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at her home. Reverend Scott Pogatschnik will officiate. Burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud.
Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the church. Arrangements were made by the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Shelly was born on March 24, 1972 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Joseph and Dorothy (Loehlein) Utecht. She grew up in Sauk Centre and graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 1990. Shelly was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Health Partners at the health station at Coborn’s in Sauk Rapids.
Shelly is survived by her husband, Carlos; son, Garret of St. Cloud; daughter, Kirsten; her parents of St. Cloud; brothers, Michael (Tina) of Lakeville and Mark (Jeanette) of Lonsdale.
She was preceded in death by her infant brother, Matthew.

Dear Neal family. I am very sorry to have read of the recent death of Michelle. Please accept my sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be very comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:3-5. These verses tell us that soon God is going to bring bout a resurrection of our dear loved ones, as well as do away with all of the many causes we have for suffering, including sickness, pain & death. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my hope that these thoughts will likewise co fort your family also during this most difficult time in your lives.
