Memorial Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Mary “Mae” (Schill) Obstarczyk, age 84 of St. Cloud who passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta. Reverend Gerald Dalseth will officiate. Interment will take place at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Mae was born on November 1, 1931 in St. Cloud to Edward and Laura (Laudendbach) Schill. She lived in Montana for many years until she returned to the St. Cloud area with her family. Mae retired from the St. Cloud Hospital as a Dietary Aid after 28 years of service.
Mae was a proud Mother and Grandmother. She enjoyed reading and traveling.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Thomas Kinn) Obstarczyk of St. Cloud, Laurel (Jeff) North of Grand Rapids, MI, and Nicoli of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Mitchell, Camille, Jacob, Sarah; brother, Loren (Bonnie) Schill of St. Cloud; and many nieces and nephews.
Mae was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas; sisters, Virginia Rosebrook, Phyllis Schill, Arlyss Gray; brother, Jerome Schill.
A Special Thank You to the Staff at both Quiet Oaks Hospice House and St. Cloud Hospital and all family and friends who have given their love, care, and support to Mae and her family.
