Mary Ann Posch

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph for Mary Ann Posch, age 87, of St. Joseph who passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Jerome Tupa, OSB will officiate. Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday all at St. Joseph Catholic Church’s Heritage Hall in St. Joseph. Parish prayers will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Heritage Hall. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph.

Mary Ann was born on June 20, 1928 in Holdingford to Henry and Mary (Ricker) Euteneuer. She married George Posch on June 17, 1947 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Holdingford. They farmed near Bowlus most of their married lives. They moved near St. Joseph in 1980. She was then employed by St. Benedicts for 14 years as a cashier. Mary Ann was a member of St. Joseph Senior Citizens and RSVP.

Mary Ann enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Richard) Knorr of Minnetonka, Jeanette (Albert) Schlangen of Bowlus, Robert (Catherine) of Avon, Richard of Bowlus, George Jr. of Bowlus, Terrence (Lisa) of Winsted, and Brian (Molly) of Avon; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Veronica Frie of Holdingford, Ceta Williams of Middleville, MI, Agnes Karpinksi of Little Falls, Clara Pylka of Chaska, Melvin of Little Falls, and Eva Lamb of Barnesville; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband in 1995; grandson, Gabriel in 2000; brothers and sisters, Roman, Edwin, Elmer, Urban, Leona, Erma Fautsch, Marcella Diericks, Lorraine and Victor; and special friend, Jerry Kramolisch.
