July 30, 1920 – March 28, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Margaret C. Leither, age 93, of St. Cloud, who passed away peacefully on March 28, 2014 at her home. The Reverend Gregory Lieser will officiate. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday all at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish Prayers will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
Margaret was born on July 30, 1920, in Luxemburg, Minnesota to Wendelin and Helen (Stang) Hansen. She married Norbert Leither on September 18, 1943, in St. Wendelin’s Catholic Church in Luxemburg. She worked for School District 742 as a cook, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and Christian Women, Eagle’s Auxiliary, the VFW Post 428 Auxiliary, and the St. Barbara’s Mission Group.  
Margaret will be remembered for her sharp card playing skills. She also enjoyed bingo and going to the casino. Margaret loved to knit, crochet, and sew.  She especially treasured all the time spent with her family.  Her grandsons and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Scott) Koopmeiners; grandchildren, Adam (Kelli), Robbie (Alisha), and Alex; great-grandson, Sawyer and great-granddaughter, Reese; sisters, Marie Weyrauch, Catherine Burgraff, Delores Mueller, and Mildred Hennen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norbert; brothers Leonard, Clemens, and Elmer Hansen.

I am so sorry for your loss, Margaret was my school cook for all of my years at Madison Elementary and she worked with my Mom, Marcy Hendrickx, She was a great cook and a cool lady.

Deb and family. I am so sorry to hear of Margaret’s passing. I know she was so blessed to have you as a daughter and she did love life and her family. Love and prayers to all of you and I know she will be loving you from Heaven.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Deb, Scott and family. We feel so Blessed to have met her and had her in or lives. She was a wonderful mother and best grandmother anyone could have.
