Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017 at St. Mary’s Cathedral lower church in St. Cloud for LeRoy E. Wedl, age 70 of St. Cloud who passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at St. Benedict’s Center Short Stay. Reverend Scott Pogatchnik will officiate. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the church.
LeRoy was born on December 3, 1946 in Tacoma, Washington to LeRoy and Doris (Donaghue) Wedl. He graduated from St. Cloud State University. LeRoy was employed by Coborns in distribution for many years retiring in 2011. He was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral Parish.
LeRoy enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting at the shack, visiting with friends at the VFW and Twins baseball.
LeRoy is survived by his sister, Chris (Joe) Fox of Cold Spring; nephews, Willie (Summer) of Blaine, Peter (Erin) of Blaine and Nick of Minneapolis and friend, Kurt Latzka of St. Cloud.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
