Kathleen M. Seifert

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph for Kathleen M. Seifert, age 77 of St. Joseph who passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at the Country Manor Health Care Center. Reverend Jerome Tupa, OSB will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday and after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the St. Joseph’s Parish Center Heritage Hall. Parish prayers will be at 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the Heritage Hall in St. Joseph.
Kathleen was born September 16, 1937 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Peter and Agnes (Zimmer) Kosel. She was a graduate of St. Benedict’s High School. Kathleen later graduated from the St. Cloud Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. She married Alfred J. Seifert on June 11, 1959 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Kathleen was employed by the St. Cloud Hospital as a Registered Nurse for 43 years, retiring in 2001. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, St. Ann’s Mission Group, Senior Citizens, United Cerebral Palsy of Central Minnesota, St. Joseph Historical Society and Waite Park TOPS.
Kathleen enjoyed gardening, flowers, and playing cards. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Al; two daughters, Lisa of St. Cloud, Sara (Craig) Ruegemer of St. Joseph; two grandchildren, Gaby and Rudy; two sisters, Darlene (Herb) Bechtold of St. Joseph, Karen Schloemer of Baxter; and brother, Kevin (JoAnn) Kosel of St. Joseph.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Gerald Schloemer.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
