Kathleen M. "Kathy" Walker

December 25, 1946 – April 20, 2017

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for Kathleen M. “Kathy” Walker, age 70, of Waite Park, who passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at her home. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Little Falls.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Kathy was born on December 25, 1946 to Bernard and Rosalia (Gaebel) Kremer in St. Cloud. She graduated from St. Cloud Cathedral High School in 1965. She would go on to graduate from St. Cloud Business College with a degree in Accounting. She married Thomas G. Walker on September 21, 1968 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph. They were married for 48 years. She worked for 20 years at St. Cloud State University, retiring in 2012. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, the St. Anthony’s Quilters and the Catholic Charities Quilters.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Tom of Waite Park; children, Rosemary (Joel Nelson) Walker, of Topeka, KS, Margaret (Daniel) Gille, of Sauk Rapids, and Thomas II (Shelly) of Morris Chapel, TN; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; siblings, Jerome (Linda), Janet (Herb) Gross, Robert (Sandy Pikus), Lorraine Hoye, Paul (Terri Weiler), Henry (Kathy) and Diane (Chuck) Muske; mother-in-law, Rosemary Walker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Romayne (Bill) Haskamp, Earl (Nina), David (Louise), Juliana (Tom) Raiche, James (Kathryn), Jerome (Diane), William (Mary), and Kathleen Walker; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister; two brothers; and father-in-law, George Walker.

Kathy was very good christian.She always had a smile on her face, Kathy and her sister Janet made e a quilt when i had cancer. The most Beautiful Quilt i had seen, to this Day i use it when i’m cold. Thank you for giving me this quilt. I love it. You will be miss. God Bless yor Family.
