Judy J. Janey

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2014 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta for Judy J. Janey, age 75 of St. Cloud who passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Reverend Robert Rolfes will officiate. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the St. Mary Help of Christians Parish Center in St. Augusta. The Daughters of Isabella will pray at 4:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the parish center in St. Augusta. Arrangements made by the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
Judy was born February 19, 1939 in Staples, Minnesota to Arthur and Mathilda “Tillie” (Lorenzen) Schaefer. She graduated from St. Cloud State Teachers College in 1960. Judy married James A. Janey on August 5, 1961 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She enjoyed her years of teaching. Upon retirement from teaching Special Education in 1999; she enjoyed working as an Optician, traveling, knitting and most of all she loved and enjoyed her family.
Judy was a good, kind, loving woman, and was an example to everyone with whom she made contact. She was Jim’s beauty and love of his life.
Judy is survived by her husband, James; mother, Tillie Schaefer of St. Cloud; children, Patricia of Roseville, Thomas (Jung Min) of Seoul, South Korea, Steven (Lori) of Bloomington and Anne Marie (Eduardo) De Le La Vega Duque of Barcelona, Spain; six grandchildren, Andrew, Benjamin, Alexandra, Isabelle, Luca and Francesca; brothers, John “Jack” of St. Cloud and Richard “Dick” of Monticello.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Arthur.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
