John R. "Bubba" Goering

A Gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud for John R. “Bubba” Goering, age 56, of St. Cloud who passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, August 16, 2015.
John was born on October 8, 1958 in St. Cloud to the late Jacob and Alvina (Wiener) Goering. He graduated from St. Anthony’s grade school and Apollo High School. He served in the US Navy from 1977-1981. John returned to St. Cloud and received his degree from St. Cloud State University. John lived all of his life in the St. Cloud area and has been employed with Fulfillment Distribution Center since 2005.
John was an avid Minnesota Twins fan and a stalwart Minnesota Vikings supporter. He also enjoyed fishing with his good buddy Cliff.
He is survived by his siblings, James (Linda) of Minneapolis, Kathy (Bob) Trainer of Mason City, Iowa, Mary Lutgen of Minneapolis, Michael of Waite Park, Richard (Tenny) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jackie Goering “Tattoo Lady” of Waite Park; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
