John Patrick Clemens

John Patrick Clemens, 59, died on Saturday, July 29, 2017 of heart failure after a short stay at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Duluth, Minnesota.
John was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota on June 22,1958 to Virginia Rose (Weitzel) and William E. Clemens.
John grew up in St. Cloud, attending Lincoln Elementary, St. Cloud Tech High School, and St. Cloud State University.
On July 21,1984 John married Cindy Rassier and they lived their life together in the St. Cloud area.
John was an Executive Vice President of the family owned business, Bankers System’s, Inc, until it’s sale in 1994.
John enjoyed traveling with his wife, Cindy, and spending time together at their lake cabin in Ontario. His interests included sports and many outdoor activities such as trail riding, bird hunting, and fishing.
John was a kind and humble man, known for his warmth and gentleness. His generosity and compassion for others were among his many attributes. John had a special gift of putting others at ease with his warm smile, infectious laugh, and easy sense of humor.
John is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; siblings, Barbara (Jerry Wayne) Watkins, Mary Sue (Randy) Potter and Robin (Kevin Penttila) Clemens; brother in law, Ron (Judi) Rassier; sister in law, Debbie (Mike) Lechner; nieces and nephews, Sean Potter, Denae McDevitt, Michelle and Nicole Lechner, Brent, Christi and Brian Rassier.
John was predeceased by his parents.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Daniel Funeral Home. Details will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to: American Heart Association, The Clemens Gardens, St. Scholastica Convent.
