Jerome N. Fasen

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Jerome N. Fasen, age 87 of Sartell who passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell. Reverend Timothy Baltes will officiate. Burial will take place with military honors at the St. Francis Xavier Parish Cemetery, Sartell.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the gathering space at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell. The Sartell-St. Stephen Knights of Columbis Bishop Trobec Council #5276 will pray at 7:00 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the gathering space. Arrangements were made by the Daniel Funeral Home, Sartell.

Jerome was born August 12, 1928 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Peter and Eleanor (Crever) Fasen. He was a 1946 graduate of St. Cloud Cathedral High School. Jerry served his country in the United States Army. He married Rita M. Schlichting on June 9, 1956 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton. Jerry was employed as a machinist at DeZurik Corporation in Sartell for 37 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member and actively volunteered at St. Francis Xavier Parish, sang in the choir and was a member of the St. Stephen Knights of Columbus.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Rita; children, Carol (Dave) Ellos of St. Cloud, Don of Boise, Idaho and Joan (Bryan) Berg of Holdingford; four grandchildren, Rory, Scott, Alex and Madeline; brothers and sisters, Arthur (Martha) of Eden Prairie, Alvin of Sartell, Marvin (Bunny) of Paynesville and Dorene Knopik of St. Cloud.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leo; sisters-in-law, Maxine Fasen and Lila Fasen; and brother-in-law, Sylvester Knopik.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
