Irene B. Frank

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Irene B. Frank, 103, of St. Cloud will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community Center Chapel in St. Cloud. Irene passed away peacefully, of natural cause, on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at St. Benedict’s Center. Reverend Stephen Beauclair, OSB will officiate. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum, St. Cloud.
Visitation will begin at 12 Noon on Friday at St. Benedict’s Center Chapel. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Irene was born on August 24, 1914 in Rapid River, Michigan to Napolean and Elizabeth (O’Brien) Boudah. She attended Menominee, Michigan Business School for two years receiving a degree in Business. She married Fritz N. Frank on June 1, 1940 in Rapid River and they moved to St. Cloud shortly after. Irene was a great supporter of her husband and their business, the Press Bar and Café in St. Cloud. Fritz passed away on September 24, 1985 and Irene began a new chapter in her life.
Irene was active in many organizations such as St. Cloud Greeters, Daughters of Isabella, Christian Women in Waite Park, St. Stephen’s Mission Group, charter member of Eagle’s Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, VFW Auxiliary, March of Dimes Volunteer Committee, Stearns Heritage Center and the St. Cloud Reading Room Society. She also helped for many years with Income Tax at Whitney Senior Center. Irene belonged to several bridge groups and enjoyed her coffee group that met every Saturday morning.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Connie (Richard) Winkowski of Naples, Florida; three wonderful grandsons, Michael (Lara) Hamann of Evanston, Illinois, Andrew (Tammy) Hamann of Rabat, Morocco, and Timothy (Jessica) Hamann of Seattle, Washington; five great grandchildren, Elise, Nicholas, Anna, Emily and Henry Hamann; and niece, Nancy Evans of Palatine, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz; brothers, Archie and Napolean Boudah; and sisters, Helen Norstrom and Patricia Evans.
