Imogene "Gene" Green

Private services were held for Imogene “Gene” Green, 92, of Paynesville who died on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Hilltop Care Center in Watkins. Burial was in St. Louis Parish Cemetery.
Gene and her twin sister were born on July 21, 1922 in Quannah, Texas to Thomas and Viola (Yowell) Wright. At the age of 15 her family moved to Portales, New Mexico after the death of her mother. She married Warren Green on May 23, 1941. Throughout her life she lived in many places, with the majority of her life spent in Texas. She moved to Paynesville in 1999 to be closer to her daughter and family.
Gene loved cars, riding motorcycles, going to car races and hunting. She will be remembered for her jokes.
She is survived by her daughter, Irma (James) Kascht of Paynesville; grandchildren, Terry (Don) Vait of Clearwater, Jessica Kosbau of Fairfax, Virginia, Mike (Sheila) Kascht, David Kascht, Rachel (Troy) Gilbertson, Barb (Lee) Lund and Bonnie Kascht all of Paynesville; 13 great grandchildren; and two great great granddaughters; sister, Daffia Bush of Portales, New Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Jackie McAnarney; great granddaughter, Kayla Dawn Kascht; and ten siblings, Estelle Clower, Lucille Barker, Kermit Wright, Curtis Wright, Lois Wright, Dalhia Wright, Laverne Wright, Gerald Wright, twin sister Clarene Nelson and Alton Wright.
