Gary J. Dullinger

February 6, 1958 – June 21, 2014

A gathering of family and friends will be from 3-8 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Gary J. Dullinger, age 56, of Hutchinson and formerly of Waite Park. Gary passed away Saturday, June 21 at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis after a battle with a lung disease. A Vigil Service with a time of sharing will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Private burial will take place on Saturday at St. Isidore’s Parish Cemetery in Staples with full military honors.

Gary was born February 6, 1958 in St. Cloud to Ben and Kathryn (Mergen) Dullinger. He graduated from St. Cloud Apollo High School in 1976. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1977-1980. He worked as a salesman in the medical field and also loved working on his hobby farm. Gary enjoyed antiquing, gardening, and loved being outdoors and spending time with his special granddaughter Maddie.

Gary is survived by his son Adam (Stephanie) of Cold Spring and granddaughter Madeline, daughter Jackie Dullinger (Christopher Mackedanz) of Hutchinson, father Ben of Waite Park, longtime companion Susan Tepley of Hutchinson, and brothers and sisters JoAnn (Jerry) Lorenzini of Plymouth, David (Roxanne) of St. Cloud, Michael of St. Stephen, Lois (Jim) Gebhardt of St. Joseph, and Dennis (Lori) of Washington, DC as well as many other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death was his mother Kathryn in 2012.

Memorials are preferred.
