Gary B. Schwartz

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, April 8 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church for Gary B. Schwartz, 66, of St. Cloud, who died April 3, 2016, after a short battle with cancer. The Reverend Timothy Gapinski will officiate. Burial will be private, at Assumption Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be from 9:00-11:30 AM on Friday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Gary was born May 18, 1949 in St. Cloud to Ben and Audrey (Doble) Schwartz. He graduated from Cathedral High School and went on to attend St. Cloud VoTech. He married Marilyn Lorence on March 30, 1984. Gary was the owner of Ben’s Tool and Iron, now owned and operated by his sons as Ben’s Structural Fabrication. His hobbies included restoring classic cars, professional sports, and NASCAR, but his passion was golf and spending time with his family.
Gary is survived by: his wife Marilyn; children, Rob (Ann) of Clear Lake, Ben (Angie) of St. Cloud, Eva (Marc) of St. Cloud; grandchildren: Erika, Ellie, Kylie, Benjamin, Jack; sisters, Judy (Joe) Hall, and Debbie (Bill) Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials are preferred to Coborn Cancer Center or the American Heart Association.
