Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Edward F. Kalscheuer, age 100, of St. Cloud who passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in St. Cloud. Reverend Aaron Nett will officiate. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud with full military honors.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Parish prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Ed was born on March 23, 1915 in St. Cloud to John and Elsie (Raymond) Kalscheuer. He served honorably in the United States Army during the European Theater in World War II. He married Evangeline Imholte on March 2, 1946 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud. Ed worked as a mechanic for International Harvester for over 30 years and worked as custodian and then boiler engineer for School District 742 for over 10 years. He was a member of St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, the Men’s Group and the Knights of Columbus Council #961.

He is survived by his children, Mary (Michael) Roos of Outing, Kathy Tweedy of St. Cloud, Chuck (Nancy) of St. Cloud, Tom of San Diego, CA, Lisa (Jim) Redquest of San Diego; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vange; infant son, Joseph; brothers, Fred, Harry, Leo, Louis, and Ray.
