I worked for the City of Bloomington in the the late 1990s and always enjoyed Doris’ company. She was always smiling and so nice to be around. I am so sorry for your loss.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at St. Wendelin’s Catholic Church in Luxemburg for Doris A. Vander Eyk, age 55 of Bloomington who passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Reverend Ronald Weyrens will officiate. Burial of the Urn will take place in the parish cemetery.
Family and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
Doris was born on August 23, 1959 in St. Cloud to Theodore and Virginia (Reber) Vander Eyk. She attended vocational school for Water Treatment and worked for the city of Bloomington and then for the city of Minneapolis.
She is survived by her son, Paul; mother, Virginia; sisters and brothers Agnes (Rick) May of Luverne, Ida Oksa of St. Cloud, John (Terese) of St. Cloud, Susan (Greg) Harren of St. Cloud, Mark (Shelly) of St. Cloud, and Beth (Mark) Leither of St. Joseph; and many nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her father, and brother-in-law, Jim Oksa.
