Donna R. Budde

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph for Donna R. Budde, age 83 of St. Joseph who passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Jerome Tupa, OSB will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday (TODAY) and after 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the St. Joseph’s Parish Center Heritage Hall. Parish prayers will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Heritage Hall.

Donna was born October 28, 1933 in Watertown, South Dakota to Merle and Florence (Tubbs) Hemstock. She married Arthur A. Budde on June 9, 1956. Donna was employed as a Legal Secretary by Mossey and Jovanovich Law Firm in St. Joseph for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish.

Fall was her favorite season where she enjoyed making and renting Halloween costumes for the area residents. Donna also enjoyed genealogy, tracing her family history, traveling, baking, bowling, knitting and sewing. Later in life she enjoyed spending time at the cabin with her family and grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her children, Michael (Bonnie) of St. Joseph, Gary of St. Cloud, Gail (Richard) Merten of Coon Rapids, Steve (Joan) of Foley, Thomas of St. Cloud and Kevin (Karen) of Cold Spring; grandchildren, Nikki, Ericka, Jake, Brandon, Kyle, Ashley, Aaron, Alex and Brittnee; great grandchildren, Leilani, Kenan, Nolan, Madelyn and Olivia; and one brother, Tom of Henry, South Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur; infant daughter, Mary; sister, Dorothy “Toodie” Heiser; and brother, Wayne.
