Donna M. Kockler

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud, MN for Donna Mae Kockler age 91 of St. Cloud, MN. She died at her home on Saturday, September 30, 2017. The Reverend Gregory Lieser will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and also one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. St. Peter’s Parish prayers will be at 5:30 P.M. Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Donna was born on April 9, 1926 in St. Cloud, MN, the daughter of August and Elizabeth (Hiltner) Bitzan. She grew up in St. Cloud and graduated from Tech High School in 1944. She was united in marriage to Arthur M. Kockler on September 25, 1948 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Five children were born to this union. She worked many years as a kitchen aide at St. Cloud Technical and Community College. Later she volunteered at the Whitney Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur, and one granddaughter Amanda.

Donna is survived by her children, Gary (Melinda) of Pleasant View, Utah, Brenda Smoley of St. Cloud, MN, Paula Kockler of St. Cloud, MN, Connie Curtis (Joe) of St. Cloud, MN, and Brian (Brenda) of St. Augusta, MN, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, one brother Donald Bitzan of St. Cloud, MN, other relatives and many friends.
