Dolores "Babe" McClelland 86 Avon, MN Sept. 25,1930 -Oct. 5,2016 of Avon passed away peacefully Wed. Oct 5th surrounded by her family. Babe was proud to have 34 years of sobriety. Mother of 8 children. She and her husband were the original owners of Skatin’ Place.
She is survived by her children Mary (Richard) Gallea Cold Spring, Jim (Wendy) McClelland Cold Spring, Pat Barthel (Mike Zwilling) Avon, Katie McClelland (Chris Kummerow) Fort Collins, CO., Margaret (Rich) Walthour Cold Spring, Maria (Jeff) Bircher Waite Park, Mike (her favorite) (Lynn) McClelland St. Cloud, 21 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dick "Papa Smurf”, Son Terry, Mother Marie and family friend Mark.
She was loved and will be missed by many and will once again be with the love of her life “Papa Smurf”. Private Memorial and Internment. A special thank you to Angie and the ICU staff of St. Cloud Hospital.
