Bruce S. Severson
September 25, 1952 – February 3, 2018
Memorial Services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Bruce S. Severson, age 65, of Bowlus. Bruce passed away February 3 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Saturday.
Bruce was born September 25, 1952 in Hibbing, MN to Merle and Margaret (Schik) Severson. He served in the Peace Corps for three years in Morocco, Africa. He worked for the City of St. Cloud Water Department for 26 years.
Bruce is survived by his daughters Michele Severson of Madison, WI and Nicole Severson of Duluth and granddaughter Loxley. Bruce is also survived by his brothers Gary (Shirley), Roger, Dennis (Jackie), Greg (Jean), Keith (Diane) and his sister Janice (Eric) Roller as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and brothers Wayne, Richard, Dale and Ron Severson.

We Franciscan Sisters lived with Bruce’s Aunt, Sr. Baptista Schik. Bruce and family were at our house several times and would often take their aunt to family gatherings. Also, Sisters Susan Schik and Sylvia Schik were Franciscan Sisters that he kept in contact with. Our deepest sympathy to Nicole and Michelle.
I am so terribly sorry to hear this news. Bruce was such a great guy and i am so sad for our loss of him here on this earth. I loved “knowing” Bruce thanks to his daughter’s involvement in Nordic Skiing and the moments we interacted in the community via his city job. Now and again i would chat with him at Riverside park when we would run into each other as he was working. He is one of my fond memories of my positive community members in the St Cloud area community over the years i lived there. I am heartbroken over the community’s and his daughter’s loss. Rest in peace Bruce.

My deepest sympathy to the Severson family. Bruce and I commuted together after he moved to Bowlus and had many interesting conversations on our daily drives to and from work.
