Annette V. "Netty" Kahlhamer

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Annette V. “Netty” Kahlhamer, age 79, of St. Cloud who passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by her family. Reverend David Grundman will officiate. Burial will take place in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Parish prayers will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Netty was born on April 25, 1936 in St. Cloud to Vincent and Veronica (Hemmelgarn) Witschen. She attended Cathedral High School where she was a member of the Drum Corps and after graduating was a Drum Corps leader. Netty married Rick Kahlhamer on May 30, 1958 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She worked at JC Penny, Big Bear, and Voigts Bus Service. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

Netty enjoyed cooking, baking, bowling, trips to the casino, and playing cards. She will be remembered for her sunny disposition and always having a smile on her face. Netty treasured all the time spent with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband; children, Cindy (Dean) Anderson of St. Cloud, Timothy (Doris) of Avon, David (Joy) of St. Cloud, and Jack (Kim) of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Chelsie (Joseph) Meemken, Melonie (Jason) Brown, Derrick Anderson, Darren Anderson, Vincent Kahlhamer, Amelia Kahlhamer, Brooke Kahlhamer, Nicole Kahlhamer; great grandchildren, Kiera, Lana, Gia, Bennett, and Cullen; and sister, Rose Mary Borgen; and many nieces and nephews.

Netty was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Ionella Blaske, Jerome Witschen, Marcella Symalla, Richard Witschen, Alvina Sauer, Eldon “Butch” Witschen, and Lu Ann Billig.
