Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Granite City Baptist Church in St. Cloud for Alfred J. Sufka age 67 of St. Cloud who passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the St. Cloud VA Health Care System. Pastor Dennis Campbell will officiate. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.
Family and friends may call at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the church. Arrangements were made by the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Alfred was born December 6, 1951 in Little Falls, MN to the late Blaise and Catherine (Hesch) Sufka.
He served in the United States Army and received an Honorable discharge.
He is survived by three children, Anthony Newgord, Jason (Mary) Sufka and Rebecca Purkapile; four grandchildren, Preston and Austin Newgord, Ayden and Austin Sufka; seven siblings, Richard (Connie) Sufka, Robert Sufka, Reuben (Margie) Sufka, Gary (Diane) Sufka, Betty Fieler, Judy Venske, and Joe (Cheryl) Sufka.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Theresa Sufka; one sister, Mary Danielson; and one sister in-law, Diane Sufka.
